Apply to Rotman
Who can apply to Rotman?
For local students
New students are welcome to apply for admission through an in-person or online assessment. Once the application form is sent, our administration will contact you to book a meet-and-greet campus tour. During this time, you will have the opportunity to see our academy and meet our team. We will discuss your child’s education history, interests, goals, and any concerns you have. When applying for a student visa, acquiring and maintaining your status as an international student in Canada, there are some processes, documents and regulations that students need to be aware of.
As Canadian immigration laws are subject to change, you should always refer to the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) official website for the most up-to-date information.
Initial Study Permits
Regarding the visa application, the type of documentation required depends on the students’ country of origin, the programs they are taking and the length of their study:
- For any study program of up to six months, no study permit is required
- For programs longer than six months, a study permit is required.
For more information on Studying in Canada as a minor, please refer to the IRCC official instructions.
Extending Study Permits
As your study permit allows you to legally study in Canada, make sure you are aware of the expiration date of your study permit. If your study permit is due to expire before you complete your study program, you will need to apply for an extension to be able to continue studying in Canada, preferably 2-3 months prior to the expiry date of the current one.
For more information on Extend your study permit, please refer to the IRCC official instructions.
